Lake Logan is located in Hocking County in southeastern Ohio. These beautiful
hills once belonged to the Wyandot Indians. The Wyandot Indians developed
a small town called Alarge village known as Oldtown on the Hocking River, one
mile above Logan.
Lake Logan was developed in 1955 for recreational purposes. In
1964 the park was transferred over to Division of Parks and Recreation, and was
renamed Lake Logan due to the Indian heritage that so greatly founded this
beautiful land.
Lake Logan is one of Ohio's best fishing area's. Sportsmen from
all counties come to catch a variety of fish that live at the Lake. Such as
bass, bluegill, catfish, and many more. A fishing license is required. If
fishing isn't for you Lake Logan has a little something to satisfy everyone.
Biking through the narrow and rocky trails are quite an
adventure. Lake Logan has a section of the famous Buckeye Trail,
that runs through the northwest end of the park. A Half mile loop for biking and
